Trump Russia Scandal Deepens.

Drip. Drip. Drip. The Russia scandal just won’t go away. Drip. Drip. Drip. We have several new revelations.

CNN has reported that the British dossier on the ties between the Trump team and the Russians is credible:

“The FBI last year used a dossier of allegations of Russian ties to Donald Trump’s campaign as part of the justification to win approval to secretly monitor a Trump associate, according to US officials briefed on the investigation.

The dossier has also been cited by FBI Director James Comey in some of his briefings to members of Congress in recent weeks, as one of the sources of information the bureau has used to bolster its investigation, according to US officials briefed on the probe.”

This dossier — among other things — confirmed that there were extensive ties between the Trump Team and the Russians. It also contends that there was coordination between the Russians and the Trump campaign. Why would a presidential campaign have so many contacts with agents of a foreign enemy?

Reuters is reporting that: “A Russian government think tank controlled by Vladimir Putin developed a plan to swing the 2016 U.S. presidential election to Donald Trump and undermine voters’ faith in the American electoral system.”

Putin’s think tank pushed out talking points that became widely disseminated by Trump and his supporters. For example, Russia Today made the false claim that 100% of the Clinton’s charity in 2015 went to themselves. I saw that talking point several times here on my facebook page.

This Russian Think Tank also repeatedly pushed out the message that the “election was rigged.” Interestingly enough, at the same time, Trump began to talked about a rigged election as well. Interesting timing.

Now the Russians are ready to cash in on the Trump Presidency. Reuters is reporting that: “Exxon Mobil has asked the Trump administration to let it proceed with an energy project with a Russian state-run company that was put on on hold when the Obama administration sanctioned Russia over its invasion of Ukraine, according to a new report.

Secretary of State Rex Tillerson negotiated the contract with Russia when he was CEO of Exxon Mobil. Russian President Vladimir Putin predicted at the time that the deal would be worth $500 billion, meaning that the waiver would be a substantial blow to the effectiveness of the energy sanctions imposed in 2014.”

Did anybody vote for this mess last fall? Can anybody say that the Trump Administration is doing a heck of a job? Anybody?
